HARNESSING SOLAR POWER IN LEMOORE
Leprino’s largest cheese and dairy ingredient manufacturing facility in Lemoore, California, utilizes the power of a 10-megawatt solar field, reducing its carbon footprint by generating approximately 10% of the plant’s annual energy needs.
The solar array, built across 20 acres of land, was completed in 2021 and produces roughly 15 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, offsetting nearly 7.5 million pounds of CO2.
The solar installation is a stride toward Leprino’s ambitious journey towards achieving greenhouse gas neutrality by 2050.
